About us

Ucrainica Research Institute is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to education and research, providing information on issues affecting the dynamics of the Ukrainian Canadian community within the framework of multiculturalism. Being community-oriented as far as the nature of its research and education goals is concerned, the Institute has become an important resource centre. In this respect, the Institute complements the activities of established academic institutions in Canada in specific areas of research.

History

The Institute was created in 1973 to provide a forum for the study and discussion of issues pertaining to education, especially as they relate to the Ukrainian Canadian community. By researching and monitoring the current processes affecting the Ukrainian Canadian community in a changing world, the Institute is confident that the information made available will assist the community in its endeavours and development.
